How to Access Scifinder

What is Scifinder?

SciFinder is a research tool that allows college students and faculty to access research from many scientific disciplines, including biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, materials science, and agricultural science.

SciFinder provides access to several Chemical Abstracts Service databases, including Chemical Abstracts, Registry, CASREACT, CHEMLIST, and CHEMCAT. It also searches MEDLINE.  You can search by references, substances, or reactions.

In many cases Scifinder will provide an abstract or citation but no full text, however, the full text can often be retrieved free of charge via interlibrary loan.

For more information, please see the SciFinder FAQ.
