How to Link

Follow these steps to link to a Films on Demand video:

  1. Find the video or video segment you wish you use and go to its page.

  2. Once you are on the page for the video or video segment, scroll down below the video viewer and click Embed/Link.

  3. Use the Record Link URL to link directly to the video or video segment; you can share this link via email, or post in your course content. 

NOTE: To correctly create a a link in D2L/Brightspace, select Create a File, and then look for the following icons in the HTML editor:

Click on the "play" icon on the left (NOT the "chain" icon). Then choose the "Insert Link" option on the menu that appears.

Accessibility Information

Closed captioning is available for most titles in the Films On Demand platform; however, there are a few exceptions. Captions for foreign language titles are not currently supported. Titles with no audio will not have captions. Newly added titles have a captioning delay of a 1-2 weeks, but closed captioning will be visible as soon as it is available for a specific title.

Also available for many Films On Demand videos are interactive transcripts. Interactive transcripts allow you to view the full text of the video, search within the full text, or click on any word in the transcript to jump to that exact point in the video. Click on the "Transcript" tab.
