Transformation and Reentry Through Education and Community (TREC)

Andre Anderson- Lino Lakes

Andre Anderson is a TREC student at Lino Lakes.

Student Profile: My name is Andre; I am from the most beautiful city in Minnesota -- that is Duluth! I am currently an incarcerated student in the TREC Program through Metro State University attending the Lino Lakes Campus. I have been incarcerated for the last nine years and have three left until my release. I am currently finishing my undergraduate degree in individualized studies with a focus in organizational leadership. I have found a passion to help others and lead my community to make positive changes. To accomplish this, I plan to attend graduate school, in the near future, at MSU in their masters in advocacy and political leadership (MAPL) program. From there, I aspire to one day get my PhD in organizational change or community leadership. My biggest passion in life is running. I have a vision to make ultrarunning accessible to all through sustainable community. I hope to use what I have learned in life through ultrarunning and leadership to alter the world one step at a time because I believe we all deserve a second chance at life.-----------In service,Andre
